LibreOffice may not handle Macro files very well. (That's what the M in xlsm means).
Can you not find someone to let you use their PC with MS Excel on it?0 -

If LibreOffice is anything like OpenOffice in its macro handling (and I don't believe that the Libre project have done work on it to make it Excel compatible) then there is no way to run Excel macros as there are a number of fundamental differences between the syntax of VBA and the Open/LibreOffice versions of basic.0 -

The ad says that the Excel version included is "Excel Starter". According to this feature list, Excel Starter will open .xlsm files.0 -

Just got round to trialling my newly installed MS Office Starter
Well, they didn't lie ... it will open .xlsm files, but sadly, it won't then let me work on them  it wants me to buy the 'proper' version.
Which is the best deal for M$ Office for an occasional user on Win7???0
