Tesco chestnuts

Just thought I'd share a laugh with you.

I got my shopping delivery from Tesco and had ordered 1Kg of loose chestnuts so was rather surprised to find ONE majestic chestnut, weighed, priced and labelled 16p.

Not quite what I was expecting - hope it's not rotten inside :doh:

How are you supposed to roast your chestnuts over an open fire, not the same as roasting 1 chestnut over an open fire. lol.

Had the same experience from Asda, ordered 1kg of apples and they sent me 1 apple.

Think they don't read the shopping list correctly.

It's not that they don't read the list correctly, it's the store database and picking form that is at fault. There is no pack size column, because the pack size is in the description (most of the time, ie "Heinz Beans 400g") But for something like chestnuts all the picker may see is

Loose Chestnuts Qty 1

And there are some people who have never seen or heard of chestnuts and don't realise that nobody would ever order just one.
