Chances of mortgage post BR

So I know this has probably been done a million times before but with the change in mortgages, help to buy 1 & 2 etc etc i was wondering what the chances are of getting a mortgage?
We went Br in April 08 so the 6 years are in in April 2014, not long now :T
My husband has a good job 70k a year & I earn £7k, we kept our house which has now increased in value and we have have about 20k equity in that, we have had no problems since our BR.
My husband got a £20k car loan which is paid off in December, all payments have been fine and the car is worth around £18k so if we sell that we will have about £40k to put down deposit plus whatever we save between now and the back end of next year
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a mortgage so close to it being removed from your credit file or are we going to have to stay in our current house for a number of years yet?
We were hoping to use one of the help to buy schemes
Thanks

Thanks for the links, I will have a read now
From what I've read the help to buy is for both first time & people wanting to move, but it has to be your main residence so we will have to sell our house first0 -
Hiya
I was a discharged bankrupt in 2005. We applied this august for a mortgage with the nationwide and the help to buy scheme. After a few weeks stress and them going through our finances with a fine tooth comb we received our mortgage offer last Friday. Within nationwides criteria you need to be discharged for three years and then they will consider you. We did ours through an advisor who was really competent and dealt with all the constant queries and questions and was very proactive in working with us and nationwide0
