DAS (Debt Arrangement Scheme) Experiences/Timescales?

Hi all,
Does anybody have any experience of setting up a DPP under the Scottish Debt Arrangement Scheme?
This was recommended to me by StepChange and seems ideal. I've sent off my forms and my proof of income to them and apparently it's just a case of waiting now but I'm not sure how long the process might actually take?
I'm a little worried about being taken to court in the meantime as I've stopped payments to my creditors as per instructions.
Another thing is that I've sent the notification letter to all my creditors, but have only heard back from two of them (who have agreed to freeze interest/charges for 30 days) - the others are claiming they haven't received anything and are still sending letters and calling etc.. is this just a delay between various departments communicating etc?
Will be much happier once everything is in place and I start paying.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
