IND letter threatening court action

Hi Guys
I need some help .
i have had two letters threatening court action.
the letters ask for 5500 plus interest from an alleged debt from 2009 and to be honest i dont know anything about it.
they say they will issue court proceedings next week and add intrest to about 8000 if i dont pay in 7 days.
i would upload or attach the letter but dont now how to.

Don't really need to see the letter. Seen one from scum like this and you have seen most.

Write back 1st class recorded delivery with https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4811234 saying that you will defend in full any action on an unknown debt.

Defend in full saying it's not your debt, if it isn't.

People here can help with the wording. http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/

The particulars of claim should be sufficiently detailed for you to be able to identify what this is.

If they are not, then that is a defence. But they will then just come up with more detail.

Hopefully this is just not your debt and that is your defence. Stick to the timescales. Date of service is 5 days after issue date. You then have 14 days to acknowledge service or put in a defence. If you acknowledge service that extends the defence deadline to 28 days.

You can do all this online
  • Hi
    Guys
The claim has been stayed on the 30/12/2013.
    what does this mean?
    should I forget about it?
    I am a little confused.
  • thanks for all your help with this.
its quite worrying that these people can invent debts and order proceedings against you.

can I unstay the order as it were or should I just forget about it

Do they give a reason for the stay.
