Still awaiting prize from Guardian comp

Hi Guys!

I'm still awaiting my prize from this comp: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4746273

Because of the value, I'm just a bit antsy about it going to the wrong place, and I'm going away in the next few weeks, and haven't received it yet.

Has anyone had any trouble with receiving comp prizes from The Guardian?

WD and what have you done so far.
Ie emailed when, called when?

When was your last contact with the prize giver?

Usually advise wait a month and ask where prize is.
When were you notified of the win?

It wouldn't do any harm to phone and let them know you will be away shortly. I won with the Times and that was what I did, it gave them a reminder and it also set my mind at rest that they hadn't forgotten the prize.

Hi And thanks for both responses

I found out 8th Oct, and responded with my details the same day. Its just shy a couple of days of a month.

I've emailed the person who told me of my win (just that I'm well happy I won, but have not received yet and that I'm going away soon) and she said she will contact Sega now and chase for me.

Fingers crossed I get it! x

I won Glastonbury tickets from the Guardian this year & I found the woman who dealt with my prize to be really helpful & made sure my tickets arrived on time & also helped with any other questions I had.
Sometime prizes can take 28 days to arrive. I'm sure they will be able to sort something out for you.

I won a hamper and vouchers with them last year and it took about 5 weeks to receive all my prize, but the person who let me know about my win was really helpful in keeping me informed about when bits were coming etc.
Fingers crossed you get your prize shortly.

hi i won an ipad and an iphone5 from the Guardian they were great just email (i did lol ) they were really nice i told them that i was soo excited and my boy kept coming home from school wanting to know if it had arrived yet so they kept me informed and even sent the ipad and iphone as soon as they got them and then sent the sims later for me! well done on your win!! x
