Hi :hello:
I use the toilet duck fresh brush to clean my toilet but find thier refills very expensive (£2.76 for 12). Does anyone know if I can buy a cheaper alternative ie shop own brand? I've only looked in Wilko's so far and they don't sell anything.
Does anyone know if anywhere sells something similar but a lot cheaper?
I would be grateful if you didn't tell me to use a toilet brush or to stick my hands down the loo. I have a bit of a phobia about toilets and thier germs!!!
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Little Miss Saver. I don't know of any cheaper toilet duck refills available anywhere but if I see any I'll let you know. I use TESCO toilet limescale cleaner in my loo as it cleans quickly, cheaply and easily and I only need to swish round with the brush (which remains fairly clean). I also buy a new brush (Tesco value of course! ) fairly regularly ...... Works out quite cheap.
I too have a bit of a loo phobia and once admitted to it on this old style board - I was well and truly slated  and spent quite a lot of time posting on the thread justifying why I felt the way I did! It's quite funny reading through it all now.
Anyway good luck with the refills,
hope you get some more replies soon.....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi LMS,
Like you I also use these but as you say they are expensive, and also like you find that using cloths etc not so hygienic, thought about disposable cloths soaked in Harpic or similar but did not want to put in bin and can't be flushed, so trying to put harpic down loo once or twice a day -depending on childrens ahem...mess and then using fresh brush holder with cheap kitchen roll and a little more harpic pored on to it, has worked so far but don't dip in the water first as you do with fresh brush as the paper obviously breaks up0 -
I clean my loo with a brush- Flush- Then squirt bleach around under the rim. If you then leave the loo brush in the pan in the bleachy water it is then clean when you put it back in the holder. Just don't flush the loo with the brush still there! We are all swans. Serene on top- but paddling like fury underneath.:smileyhea0
