General whinge!!

Maoam run a photo comp on fb and announced their winner but not the 9 runners up. I commented asking who they are and someone immediately said "thanks maoam for my runners up prize" which I found very odd! I commented again but still nothing...now I have messaged them. It's so annoying especially when it was an effort comp and my son and I spent time planning and doing it! Can't believe a big company like this would not announce its runners up....what's everyone else's thoughts? Are they pulling a fast one or am I being paranoid?!

They don't have to announce the winners on FB

Anonymised information about the winners and the town or city in which they live can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to us, after the closing date, to the address set out above

I have received prizes from them in the past with no problems.

But they announced the main winner so that's why I am confused

Maybe they only announced the winner as that's who was getting the big/main prize.
And they just messaged the runners up.
If someone knows they've won runners up prize I think that's what they must have done.

Thanks for your replies, just find it frustrating that they have ignored me and I have found that with other comps on fb, they usually say "all winners have been contacted please check your emails"....nothing with these though

Maybe they said who the winner was as that photo was to be used and it was giving them credit for it but they don't have to announce them.

the winner’s Halloween photo will be featured on the MAOAM UK Facebook profile picture and/of cover photo and on the MAOAM UK official Twitter account as a profile picture (in each instance dependnent on the dimensions of the photo) and will be live from 10am 28th October 2013 until 10am 1st November 2013

The winners will be notified via their Facebook or Twitter accounts by midnight 25th October 2013 and we will then be in touch with you direct to confirm.....
