Endowment Misselling

I need some adxice on the endowment and building society which I dont trust anymore.
We went from one building society the Halifax. We were encourged to go from a repayment to endowment. We were told that we could finish 2 years before the mortgage was due (Scotish Life) We could then decide whether to pay mortgage off or keep until due 2 years later.

lately we were asked how are we going to pay the mortgage off as the endowment finishes after the mortgage is due. We were suprised. I put a complaint of misselling as were not informed that it may not pay mortgage and why finish after mortgage due?

Then comes the funny bit. After asking this I went bac and looked at the mortgage. We took out a 25 year mortgage with endowment finishing 2 years before in 1986. Details tell me that the endowment finishes in 2011 and the mortgage 2013. The building society has added 2 years on (2013) and those who did the endowment have taken it to 2011. Obviously the guy at the building society telling us it goes beyond is angling for something. He was also the one who would not change my insurance back when I cancelled it within a day (that is anther story)

At no time have we asked for an extention in years for the mortgage. Can someone tell me what to do in these circumstances. This makes me suspicious about everything to do with my mortgage. I have the complaints questionnaire etc please help me in determining what to put and what to do next, as they are going to look into it, but I have only just realised the thing about the years

Your complaint may be handled differently to a mis-sold endowment in the current sense.

Ask the providers to give you a copy of the application as you believe the term of the policy/mortgage doesnt match what was requested.
