Chilli Jam no pectin

Hi
I made some chilli jam but used the wrong sugar ie no added pectin. I realised as I was making it and tried to boost the pectin by cooking with a couple of chopped apples and lemon but its not set.
Ive tried to get hold of pectin but so far failed.
Anybody got any suggestions how I could boost the pectin so it sets ?
Im wondering about squeezing in a couple of lemons and reboiling.
Any advice appreciated
Cheers
Jen

Does it have to say Jam on the label? couldn't it say Sweet or Hot Chilli Sauce? Ive averted many a disaster by renaming things!0

I've stopped getting het up about stuff that doesn't set properly these days. Call it chili conserve or something like that if it bothers you.'Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.' George Carlin0
