I completed an SOA & scoured my last few bank statements and I have a lot more to pay towards my debts than I thought :j
My plan is to pay off £100 as usual and put £300 in my isa then if I haven't needed it by the end of the month it gets paid off the debt.
By need it I mean car needing a new tyre, MOT coming up, any other none food shopping or petrol emergencies.
I darent commit it to the debt at the start of the month but doing it this way should work well :-)
Starting off with £645 on Next, £990 on barclaycard and £1600 on Littlewoods.

If you are paying interest on the Barclaycard, I would pay the extra £300 off that and use the card if you need to pay for unforeseen things, this way you will save on the interest. Don't forget that if you have to take monies out from an ISA before the end of the financial year it won't have earned you anything.
If there are no unforeseen extras in three months, that card will be clear and the £300 can start to make serious inroads into the store cards. If there is a month when you need to use the B/card, just divert your extra payment back to it until it is clear again.Debt Free 🍾 since 6.8.13 £32kSaving for 🎄 🎁 2026 £285/£730 39%6 mth 🆘 fund £10kMortgage offset fund £23.2k/£29k 80%It turns out the answer to my problems wasn’t at the bottom of this tub of ice-cream, 🍨 but the important thing is that I tried...0 -
Hi there, thanks for that. What you said makes perfect sense but the cc and littlewoods are my partners accounts. I'll talk to him about it but dont really want him to know how much I have spare as he'll hassle me to pay for things!! Xtotal debt Nov 13 - £3080
