Sofas- High St, Sofa specialist or independent?

Hi all,
Spent the whole day looking at sofas but can't decide who to buy from.
We have found an independent retailer who manufacture bespoke sofas on site to whatever spec required, hundreds of fabric choices etc and the ones in the showroom look good. Prices are extremely competitive. I am keen to support my local businesses but it's a heck of a lot of money to spend if something goes wrong, e.g. we don't have a recommendation for them and google doesn't throw up anything helpful.
On the other hand, SCS et al have not exactly got a great customer service reputation either, plus I begrudge paying through the nose for interest free credit prices when I intend to pay in full.
M&S, Next and such have got offers on at the moment such as 30% off but don't have many to try out in the shop so whilst they may have a good reputation I would be essentially ordering from a catalogue.
Just looking for other people's thoughts on it all!
