I need to get a secured loan(I know they are not the best but needs must) to pay a settlement to my soon to be ex wife.
My house is valued at 285k,I have a 208k mortgage, and a 10k secured loan(which will be paid off with the newloan) I need about 50k to pay off the existing loan and the ex.I am self employed with recent major credit "blips"but up until xmas last year I was squeeky clean.A remortgage is not really the answer as I'm tied in for another year
Can anyone suggest a company to use,I am expecting to pay the loan back over the next few years, now work is sorting its self out.
Many thanks

you should start with your current mortgage provider. there may be no penalties to getting an additional sum and even if there were it all depends upon the numbers whether it the cheapest option..its certainly the first palce to start especially if you have had some recent blips which a new loan company may take exception to.
