Advent Competitions 2013 - Chat

Scrolling through my emails on my phone today, I came across an email entitled "getting ready for advent and christmas", great I thought, another advent competition that might not even be posted on the board

Clicked into it and realised it was from York Minster and was referring to the real advent and Christmas, not some competition, doh!

Won't be able to do many this year because of work situation. I pretty much have to catch up with comps every 2/3 days. Will make sure I enter a select few daily though.

To be honest I struggle to understand them from a company perspective. It seems to me they play into the hands of compers which is presumably what they don't want. Who really knows though.

I wouldn't say I was dreading them. However I'll be glad once I'm about 4 days in, have a bit of a routine going and know which ones I'm not going to enter. Those first couple of days are :eek:

However I REALLY need to get ahead of myself on the main board for me to be able to even think about doing advents

Just thought yesterday, I'm really looking forward to them and then remembered, I don't think I've ever won anything off one!

1, Quick & easy to make lunches & dinners
2, A huge stack of Chocolate
3, Doing all household jobs now that can be done before they start
4, Writing Christmas cards this weekend
5, Disconnecting phones
6, Cleaning out Dwarf Hamster & Harvest Mouse

I have done a huge clean this week, everything is spotless. Am I crazy to think it will stay that way till after the advents!

To be honest the 1st will be a nice family day doing the tree and decs with the kids,then turn into a comping beast on the evening.
