Wow! with it being 1st of the month manic isn't the word, god Monday is going to be another busy day too!
I catch up board in morning before I hit advents as many don't open till after 9am/10am so rather than waste precious time,I wait till around 10am to start advents.
Good luck everyone and many thanks again Oyl x#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
This is my first year of trying to do the advents properly, rather than just when I stumbled across them. I have been doing folders of bookmarks, I was wondering if the more experienced of you bookmark the thread on MSE for those you are interested in, or if you bookmark the actual competition page.
Fortunately, I don't have facebook, so this means that I am probably only doing half of what some of you are doing.
Good luck everyone.
My system started first thing this morning when I C&P from the Advent thread to a blank doc. That is what I worked through today, making any necessary notes, re answers or whatever, and deleting any I don't want to do. I will work from that list every day, and add to it as I trawl through the main board. I might also pop back to the advent thread every few days to see if I can spot any that I might want to add - that part is a bit hit and miss. But for me, it's the easiest way through.

When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.0 -
Started a list but by lunchtime I'd given up as with the times and Stella it was getting overwhelming trying to keep up with everything (those opened, still to open etc). Going to get RSI for Christmas at this rate....
If I can beat my Lego figure from last year, I'll be happy lol!!
(Seriously, good luck everyone and fairy dust to all!)0 -
Yes the first day is defo the worst! I stayed up until 3.30 am doing dailies and Advents then fell asleep and woke at 5.50am!!! I promised myself a lie on the sofa this afternoon but didn't get the chance as family came over and I am still trying to catch up! I'm going to bed before midnight tonight though otherwise I will be feeling rubbish tomorrow!
Yes the first day is bad because you are having to register with sites, sort you Advents into lists, eg Facebook, Rafflecopters, sites etc ans some require answers and some don't and some are just offers! By next weekend I will be into a routine. I seriously don't know how I am still awake nowI've been popping paracetamols and drinking coffee all day to keep me going and to stop me from getting a migraine, which I often do when I am overtired and have spent a long time on my laptop.
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I know I am getting tired because I have just gone over to my lamp and tried to blow it out! DOH !!!!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I've got six bookmark folders with my advents in
What a day. The scariest bit was how more kept appearing constantly!
I have to say though, Sunday is definitely the optimum day for 1st December to fall on. Gave me Saturday to make sure I was all up-to-date, and then Sundays are always the quietest day for comps to be posted, so there wasn't too much to deal with on top of the advents! Can we have it this way every year please? :rotfl:
I've got 117 advents favourited at the moment, but I expect to lose at least 20 during the first week as I see more of what the prizes are (42 of those 117 I didn't enter today as they either had a prize I wasn't interested in, or don't open until tomorrow).0 -
I've got some competitions links in my Advents bookmark folder, and some (mostly the ones with questions) in my subscriptions thread. I started the day with over 100 subscribed threads, and dropped a lot of them as I realized that I simply can. not. cope. with that many threads in my Control Panel!
I'm just going to focus on electronics (go go new telly!) for now. I don't have a hope of doing more than that.Hi, I'm Mich
I won a years supply of Comfort fabric softener in November 2013 - more than half remains...

Seriously?! You want people to watch a video for every day of December for your Advent? Do you know how busy we are?! :rotfl:Hi, I'm Mich
