Bad Credit Unsecured Loans
Comments

There aren't really any subprime loan lenders around any more (that don't require the debt to be secured or require a guarantor, both of which are not advisable).
When you say you have a bad credit rating what is actually on your file? are you talking a few missed payments? defaults? CCJs?
Presumably you have already tried your own bank and been declined?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
There is no such thing. Any company that would lend to you would only offer you eye watering interest rates, which would land you in a worse situation than you are in at the moment.
£2.5k isn't a lot in the grand scale of things. Pop over to the debt free wannabe board and post an SOA. The posters there are great at helping others manage their finances and debt problems.0 -
I second Lottie's advice.
Reputable lenders don't lend to those with bad credit.
Post up a SOA and try to start dealing with the debt to improve your credit rating, rather than borrow more at extremely high interest rates, which is likely to lead to even greater hardship in the future.0 -
I'm looking for a reputable lender who will lend to someone with bad credit am looking for £2000 - £2500 over 2 or 3 years. the loan would be for debit consolidation.
would prefer not to have to pay broker fees
thanks in advance
That's like saying I would like to find a pub that don't charge for drinks.

I tried pretty well everywhere about a year ago. Hopeless. These sort of lenders don't seem to exist any more (assuming they ever did). Do make sure you don't fall for the broker fee one, there are people posting her virtually every day who fall for that one and they all insist they never agreed to the fee.[STRIKE]Vanquis £2994.71[/STRIKE] [STRIKE] Aqua £1941.13[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Capital One £970.77[/STRIKE]

Bad credit loans dont exist, as lenders generally expect to be repaid!!0

Bad credit loans do still exist, but you'd have to be a complete nutter to take one out.
Pounds to Pocket, Oakham and a few others, do offer loans for 12 months, with amounts such as £1k-£2k, but the trouble is you pay back £3500 - £4000 back over that year.
So quite often (99.9% of the time), monthly repayments are higher, than the person who wants the loan are already paying/can afford. Or if they made the equivalent monthly repayments, towards their current debt, it would be paid off sooner and for less interest.0
