I think it would be far better to have a series of programmes teaching people (inc young children and students) how to budget and manage money.
All we seem to get is fly-on-the-wall programmes about shopaholics and bankrupts, with no mention of how to control the figures. Here, ITV is looking to wallow in others' misery, as it does on issues of obesity, alcoholism and drugs.
The branding of money products, the dumming down of numeracy skills and the immoral lack of care by the banks are issues far more important than peddling others pain as a form of entertainment. ITV, look again.0 -
Yeah lets all boycott ITV! :j :T
BOO HISS! :mad:0 -
I think Martin is the ONLY person in the world wonderful enough to do this sort of show. Come on Martin, once a week, prime time TV - you'd rock this world! :T0

That's a good point actually, they give occasional hints and tips and shows like "Pay off Your Mortgage" and "Shopaholics" etc help in some ways, but there's no show dedicated to learning basic budgeting from the outset, only how to fix the financial messes that can occur from not budgeting properly from the outset.0

It wouldn't be right to discuss fees/ incentives in a public forum. Please feel free to send an e-mail and I'll reply with with more information
Yes, we obvioulsy realise this is a very sensitive issue and there can appear to be little to gain by revealing all but I know people who have benefited form similar such exercises in the past.0 -
