so another words you stung other lenders
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I was at the time as they've not been pursuing me since due to no signed credit agreement.

Then you are shocked that lenders won't consider you for a mortgage. Self explanatory answer.

I guess so. I did what was right for our finances at the time. My husband doesn't regret the choices we made but thank you for your constructive feedback.

No, I'm shocked that the company I already have a mortgage with had to treat me like a brand new customer.

New proposal = New underwrite unfortunately. Any time that you re-mortgage, buy a new home (including porting your mortgage) the lender will look at your circumstances again just to confirm that you are still a viable risk for them.

Thanks for clarifying. It looks like the best option will be my husband getting the mortgage in his name only for the time being and then once these defaults have expired, which would be at the end of the 2 year fixed term, we'll try adding me to the mortgage.

Whilst we don't regret the decision we made at the time as we had no intention of selling in the near future, it's certainly been a hard lesson learnt.

No aggression on my part. Merely being factual. Which is the way any lender would view the situation.

There are lenders that subject to the detail, would consider you on sensible terms.

If you proceed on single name basis, ensure lender selection is well researched as some will not like your situation.
