CCJ Plus attachment of earnings please help!!!!

Hi guys this is my first post and I'm in desperate need of help.

Basic story is that I received a ccj for £857 back on 4/4/2013 which I never received any paperwork to say that it was being issued, I only found out about it about a month ago.
I have today paid it off, but the court are now saying that on the 23/4/2013 the creditor issued an attachment of earnings, costing £100, so now they are saying that In order for a certificate of satisfaction can be issued, I must pay the extra £100.
Now my question is that as the judgment was set at £857 which is the amount shown on my credit file, surely by me paying that amount, it will be satisfied, as that is the amount the ccj was issued for, not £957
As the extra £100 was added at a later date.

Please can anybody help as the court and the creditor are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard!

Thanks

as you paid after the requested action, you have to pay
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • But surely though as judgment has been set at 857 then that's the amount owed on the judgment. Also the attachment of earnings order has not gone through, they only filled for it???

Enforcement fees are added to the judgement debt. See CPR and county court rules.

You might want to try and investigate if you can set aside the judgement if you didn't receive any information on the court date. That would be better for your credit file.
