Misinformed about a companies direct debit scheme

A company gave me false information regarding a direct debit scheme I signed and the form shouldn't have been presented to me at the time. After contacting a a manager of the company they are not helping me at all.

Is there anything I can do about being misinformed about a direct debit scheme set up?

If not, is there any organisations that deal with bad customer service and the rights of consumers in relation to this?

What exactly is a 'direct debit scheme'?

What false information were you given?

What were you trying to buy or whatever?

Without more information about those you won't get a sensible answer to your question.
