Tights help!

Aaaaagh, it's official. I know zero about tights!

I've got a black and white patterned dress (knee length) to wear to a Wedding, I've been looking for some reasonably comfortable bright blue, pink or red shoes to wear (and may still find some), but at the moment it looks as though the old black ones may be dragged out of hibernation.

Dilemma: Which tights do I buy? Which colour? dernier? glossy or matt ones do I wear?

I haven't worn tights for donkeys years, so don't have a darned clue what's right or not.

Advice very gratefully received :)

If you wear black shoes with a black and white dress I would wear barely black or very dark grey tights of a bout fifteen denier (I rip ten very quickly:o).

If you wear the coloured shoes go for a natural colour tight IMO.

I prefer matt tights. (Shiny adds size so its better for women with very thin legs that could use help to look a little more shaply IMO and I am not one of them.:(.)

Go for a very low denier, and always stick to matt. Shiny or 'glossed' tights make any legs look like stuffed sausage skins.

Always matt! Then go either really low or really high denier, depending on the look you're going for. In a low denier I tend to go for natural or barely black, for a wedding I'd probably go for natural.

For other situations I prefer a high denier thick black to thoroughly cover up - but not with pale shoes.
