Bank account now I'm discharged....

HI,
I finally hit the one year mark last week and am now discharged :j........I now want to be able to set up my bank account for telephone banking, but my bank have said to do this they need to see confirmation that I am now discharged. They have told me I should get this confirmation sent to me, and I then need to take it into my bank.
I haven't received anything at all to confirm my discharge.........is this normal, or will something be arriving soon? I've checked the insolvency register online and that now shows my status as discharged, would a printout of that suffice?
I can't even set up direct debits on my account until I get this confirmation, so I'm starting to worry that I won't get the confirmation that the bank want!
Any suggestions??

Hi, most companies will accept the printout from the insolvency register (print some now while you can, the record will disappear in 3 months) but if they refuse you can ring the IS office that dealt with your case and they will send you a letter confirming your discharge. There is also an official discharge certificate you can get from the court you went bankrupt at but it costs about £70  if you qualify for court fee remission you can get it for free I think.

Hi well done on the magic 1 year mark!!
yes print some copies off the register showing your status as discharged this will remain on there for 3 months.
Unless you apply to the court for a discharge notice which I believe costs around £70 there will be nothing to receive from them.
I had a trustee and asked for a letter from them also....onwards and upwards now good luck x

    Hi,
Thanks for the replies.....I'll print off the page from the register and hopefully that will do the job!
