A couple of months ago I decided to try their rental service for games as lovefilm who I was with decided to stop. I signed up for the free trial & sat back waiting for the games to arrive, it was over week until the 1st game arrived and they also took my 1st payment before my trial was up. Its now been a few months and all I've had is 2 games and I'm now trying to cancel the account. Now for my main problem... You can only cancel by phone and no one answers, it says I'm in a queue. I have now tried every day for 2 weeks with the same out come. I've been to my bank who say they cant stop the payment as its set up on my card and not a direct debit. any ideas?

Pat yourself on the back knowing you're single handedly helping them get back out of administration one month at a time.0

pitbull,
If its a continuous payment authority, which i think it will be, your bank is wrong they must cancel it or they are liable for any payments from that point, do a search on here as there is a FAQ Im sure somewhere and go back to bank AND SPEAK TO MANAGER.

link that gives you all the info you will need to make bank do this, but do put it in writing to help with any claim at later stage.

actually there is a way to cancel online .
go to the bottom of the page , under Help click contact us , then click view unlimited frequently asked faqs , then cancelling , then click on do you still need help ?
you should then be taken to a cancelling page where you email your cancelation.0 -

I've just clicked on the bookmark I had for my account. The last time I clicked it, it would come up with my rental list, but now it says that the company is in administration.
Not that I want that of course, but I was having trouble cancelling my subscription and I have a confirmation email to say my account is cancelled, but a few weeks ago, I removed my payment details, in case they tried reactivating my account again and taking a payment.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £29,419.760
