Bottle of nice champagne for exams

I would like to get a bottle of champagne for exam results (assuming they go the right way....), but not too expensive. Under £10 would be great, but can you get any "famous" champagnes for that price?
thanks!
thanks!

Hi,
You are very unlikely to get a quality bottle of Champers under £10.
If you want a relative cheap fizz (in relation to champagne) you are going to be looking @ Prosecco (italy) or Cava.
My recommendations would be:
Campo Viejo Rose, about £6 @ Sainsbury
Prosecco La Marca, £6 @ Waitrose
Sparkling Pinot Grigio (Italy), £7 @ M&S
Jacobs Creek Sparkling Rose, £8 widely available
For vintage:
Green Point by Moet & Chandon (australia) 2002, £13
Green Point by Moet & Chandon (australia) Brut Rose 2002, £14
Tried the Green point recently, comes with a crown top as opposed to a cork.
Really good.
The trick to remember with any fizz is it let it settle for a couple of minutes in the glass before drinking. & don't over chill.
My current champagne cellar is:
Dom Perignon '96 & '99, 1 of each:eek:
Laurent Perrier '97
N. Feuillette Blanc de blanc '97
Tatinger Rose
Veuve Clicquot Rose
Laurent Perrier 'Grand Siecle'
So I have a little bit of experience in this field.
If you can get some friends to club £75 together Tesco online have an astounding offer on as of today;
1 Case (6bottles) Of Pierre Jouet Champagne £75, thats 1/2 price + 75clubcard points.
Hope that this has been of some use, All the best for your exams.:TNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
