Travel to Glasgow Central train station from down south, cheaply?

I need to travel to Glasgow central train station on the 15th of November and return on the 17th.
I need a ticket from a train station in or near Kent and a ticket from Liverpool (2 different people).
I am getting quotes of around £100 from Kent and £80 from Liverpool with 18-25 railcards for both people.
£180 is far too much for me to spend for a 2 day trip on transport but I MUST travel there on these dates. Can anybody find me any cheaper fares please?

Whereabouts in Kent?
An Off Peak Return Liverpool/Glasgow with railcard is less than £50.00.0 -
Get into London then megabus if you want to do it really cheap.
Or if you want to get there a bit quicker, you're looking at about £70 return to fly it from stansted or Gatwick.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
Kent's an Awfully Big Place - you won't get meaningful advice unless you say where. Deal or Bromley would make a big difference
You can sometimes get cheaper fares travelling from Kings Cross to Glasgow Queen Street via Edinburgh0 -
Near Gillingham I think. I'm not familiar with kent at all, sorry for the lack of information before.0

An offpeak return with a railcard from Gillingham to Glasgow is £90.95. Includes HS1 and/or underground. Buy on the day or in advance
You are too late for decently priced advance tickets for your dates0
