Tesco Offers (ONLINE) - Charging Original Price

Hi

I do my shopping online at Tescos and quite often I see something that is on offer that I fancy but the price they charge is the original. Depsite saying it is on offer in the yellow band. Sometimes its more than the original price!!

For example this week I have seen:

Jack Daniels - Was £26, Now £15 - Basket Price £26
Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur Was £17 Now 15 Basket Price £21.30

If I was to buy these items online would I get refund and charged what they are advertising this at?

Thanks

Have you checked the deal dates. The only time this happens for me, is if the offer ends before my delivery date

Far as I know the price you pay is the price when it's picked and not when you place your order, at least it was when we used Tesco last.

I've noticed this too - it seems to be a problem with their computer. Most of the time I've found that it goes through at the correct price - when it hasn't Customer Services have always refunded the difference (assuming, as previous replies have said, that the offer is valid for your delivery date).

    Also the same for sainsburys.

The offer price for the JD and Tia Maria shows for me when I added them to the basket just now. Maybe the offer didnt start till today and you hadnt chosen a delivery slot.

This happens when the offer is due to start after the date of your initial order - ie, the above offers were valid from 31/10/2013 until 5/11/2013, and the date you were ordering was 30/10/2013. It will show at the lower price if you log in to look at your order after the offer start date.
