My partner and i would love to buy a house he is on about 19,000 and going up and i am on around 15,000 we dont have a good credit score something we have been working hard on my ccj's will be gone from 2015 and the rest i owe £1,600 which is also getting paid off. my partners is higher then mine but about the middle of the road he has defaulted 1 account and been late on a few he owes about £1,400, we currently rent our 2 bed house for £800 a month plus bills which we do easily but we feel like we would rather pay this amount and actually have our own home, his father has said he will help in any way he can, but this is where i need help....how can he help and can we get a mortgage without having to cough up 30% of the value of the house? can this government scheme help? input would be so grateful right now

Help To Buy is designed to help people with small deposits, not those with visible credit problems.
Your choice is;-
wait until the adverse drops off your credit files and apply with a small deposit
or
get 25% deposit or more and choose a lender which only uses the CRA with the best version of your credit files.
