Cheapest cartridges for Canon Pixma MP170?

So far, I've not found anywhere that does non Canon compatible cartridges for the above. Does such a thing exist?
If not, can anyone recommend good value retailers?
On a slightly different tack, how efficient is the Pixma? I printed off about 80 6x4 in photos yesterday, using a brand new cartridge, and it was empty by the end (well, not empty, but it was clearly running out). That seems pretty poor to me!
