Mortgage advisor question?

Buying a house from Connells & they have passed us over to their mortgage advisor. The condition that you sign for is upfront payment, however if the house falls through you have to find another property within 90 days or you lose the money. I have been told this is "condition selling" and it is illegal but I can't find anything online about this.

Use a different adviser. Perhaps one that is a local independent. Usually better to not use an estate agent adviser anyway (bad reputation other than small local independent estate agents)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

There is no legal or regulatory requirement for you to use the EAs adviser - and given the stunt their currently trying to pull re upfront fees, I'd certainly find my adivce elsewhere, such as a whole of market mortgage adviser, whom (if a striaght forward placement) may agree to accept commission and lender proc payment in place of an advice fee.
Hope this helps
