Frozen Money

Hi I have unsecured debt with Natwest and have been on a DMP for the last 4 years. Im slowly clearing the debt but down to some communication failures with Step Change and Natwest I was threatened court action. This has now been resolved but in the process of this the paperwork from Natwest showed I was in credit in my bank account of £480. When I originally went on the DMP i moved all my accounts from Natwest as this is what I was advised. I believe this money was a payment from my former employer. I went to my local branch to see if I could withdraw the money as my car has just failed its MOT and this would help cover the costs of repairs without me having to turn to Provident or some pay day lender. I was told though by the bank that the money is frozen and on hold and I am not allowed access to it. Is there anything I can do to try and reclaim this money? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's your money then tell them to release it, or you will take them to the small claims court for it.Still rolling rolling rolling......

Will they not just try and use the money to pay towards the outstanding debt with them?0

Thought you meant you had cleared the Natwest debts. If not, then they will probably just set it off against whet you owe.Still rolling rolling rolling......
