Well, here we are at the start of November's challenge, and it's going to be a good one. I will probably be announcing my first NSD over the weekend. As for today, I will be busy cracking the whip with Igor, who has a mega job sorting out the carnage from last night's Halloween/Samhain bash (see October thread). Kerri - thanks for the pole dancing lessons. If I can just unravel my legs I will stagger to the cleaning cupboard and try and find something to get that stuff off your pink stilettos - always did wonder where Hubert nicked them from.....and evict the corpse-like NSD gang members who partook of a little too much falling down liquid......or was it Igor's bat curry that floored them???? I am sure the nice officers of the law will keep me informed, once they've retrieved all their pairs of handcuffs.....

*scuttles in a little late*.... errr...evening all....sorry I'm a little late to the challenge this month :o It didn't help that someone had helpfully handcuffed one of the local constabulary to the pole I was dancing round

Been a busy start to the month had a long weekend north of the boarder which might explain partly why I seem to have missed a few days of the month :rotfl: but look what I found :D

I could kind of count the spends as non-spends since it was a sort of holiday, but I won't as they weren't really saved pennies :o however I think I am up to 2 NSD this month :D

I am not actually going to set a target this month, I will continue with the MSE, and pop on here but I have a lot of things going on atm outside the virtual world and i can't really focus on NSD targets as well this month. However I'll still pop on to waffle and keep tabs on folks - just perhaps not always as often as usual.

ps did i mention I ordered a KMix from Amaz0n? It's arrived, not out of its box yet as I need to move some things but I love it :D :j:j

  • Calling in with NSD #3 and 3 in a row! I am quite liking this whole make your own rules thing. Today was actually a no-spend day, but yesterday I bought food for a colleague's viva celebration and decided that as I wasn't spending the money on me, that was okay. Tomorrow should only be budgeted petrol costs (an also some chocolates/sweets for friends who are putting me up for the weekend) so should also be a spend free day. My theory is if I consider stuff bought for others as within the rules, then I won't use breaking a NSD as an excuse to buy sweeties for myself at the same time.

Planned for the past two days to be NSDs (2 of) but didn't quite go to plan cos had to go to corner shop both days for convenience foods for the OH who was in hospital. Will have to reign it in a bit and make up for those two days! :(

  • Morning all,

Some great numbers coming in already, well done :j

I've achieved NSD #2 (it was for Wednesday), I bought a few Christmas presents yesterday and have some time today so may well get a few more. It means a spendy day, however I'm trying to support local small businesses this year and there's a big craft market on today. Off to make a list of recipients so I don't go overboard :D

    Have a great day everyone!

    Hi Beth

Hope OH is doing Ok and it's not a serious thing? Most important thing is that you are both looked after while OH is unwell.
I find the hospital stays are a constant run of little of spends so maybe you could suspend NSD for a few days?
