Beware Of A&l If Self-employed!!!

Hi,
Just a warning to self-employed ppl when applying for mortgages or re-mortgages from Alliance and Leceister. This happened to me & my sis.
Situation 1:My sister applied for a new mortgage from A&L, told A&L numerous times they were self-employed, told by A&L everything was ok. Just before completion, they were told they'd been misinformed, needed to be self employed for 2 yrs not 6 months as previously told
& they nearly lost the house & had to go elsewhere for another mortgage.
Situation 2:We informed A&L numerous times we were self employed for a small re-mortgage, we were told we were going to be put on their variable rate till we had certified accounts. This was 2 yrs ago!! - i called in numerous times during this period to reiterate my situation. Last month i was informed apparently i had been misinformed
At first they denied any wrong doing & when i requested transcripts, they sent me a letter with one persons interpretation of a single conversation 2 yrs ago.
I requested transcripts of ALL the conversations i'd ever had with A&L, they were not willing to help. I informed the Financial omnisband, we are in negotiations for a settlement!!!!:j
Because of this site, i now know we have rights & won't let these guys get away with it!!
Sorry its been so long, but beware, these guys are shysters- HTH
