Dentist costs for white filling?

My dentist has quoted me £75 - £100 for one white filling and a general clean of my teeth. Could anyone advise whether this is a fair price? Dentist says it has to be done privately as it is a white filling and not one of those which fall under the NHS cost plan (which, quite frankly, I wouldn't want).

  • I'd say that is fairly reasonable.

Don't really think it's worth it though, unless it's in a noticable spot when you're smiling - I'd just go for the normal filling.

Oh well, I will probably just have to accept that everything is more expensive in London than elsewhere. :(
