Music Magpie-Type Companies

Hi guys,

I'm looking to sell some books and CDs to get some Christmas cash. Has anyone used Music Magpie-type sites? Which is the best one?

    I've used Zapper a few times recently to sell books and a few DVDs. The pay was ok - better than some other sites, and from sending them off it took about 2-3 weeks until I received a cheque from them.

    Sadly the majority of books are worthless, Magpie is a good site to use to get rid of CDs which are pretty much worthless.

    Magpie is NOT a good site, based on the testimonials here and in other forums. Too many cases of ;

    'Losing' CDs - client sends 20 CDs, MM say they received 18. One of the missing ones (a rare one) turns up a week or so later on Amazon under MM's selling ID

    Rejecting good/ex condition CDs as 'not good enough quality' and reducing payment or not paying out. Those they reject and don't pay for don't get returned to the client.

    Do a forum search here and elsewhere before you use them

    Better using a company like Magpie, than a fly-by-night newbie who seems to give good results for a couple months before disappearing into administration taking all the unpaid CDs/DVDs/Games with them. Turnintocash springs to mind.
