I've won one too after much trying!

Maybe we should have a dedicated thread on these for tips on what's involved as some people seem to love them and some seem to think they're a waste of time. I personally haven't travelled much at all so it's very exciting to me. lol.

Well done glad you managed to win one. I won one of these mini cruises a few years ago. I tiik the kids and it was great fun. There was a cinema on the boat and lots to do for the kids. Entertainment was good, and had evening entertainment for the adults too. These mini cruises are what you make them. We really enjoyed the break and its nice to be able to visit and look around another Country even if it is only for a few hours. I m sure you will enjoy it

WELL DONE Im glad you got one at last:beer: Ive been on the trips quite a few times as I dont live far from the terminal and have been able to pick up quite a few freebie trips over the years. I think it very much depends what you are looking for as too how you feel about it. Cabins are quite basic but its great fun as a party trip as there is entertainment on board on the way then a day around amsterdam usually you get around 6 hours so its time for a bit of a look around. then entertainment on the way back. A few of my friends have also won so we are all trying to book up for daughters birthday as a party which should be great fun:beer:

That sounds nice fizzbomb. Are you having to win a couple of times for the kids to go? There're five of us so don't think we could do it on wins. Or can you just pay extra for an extra person do you know?

My daugter will be 22 so she has her own adress so we won the trip for mum and dad and she won another. We also spammed all of our friends . they in turn have been winning their own trips. althought you can only win one per household you can split people up for instance daughter is taking a member of another household with her, they have won their trip but only for two people and there are three of them, alternatively you can book online if you dont win but probably need one adult per cabin(winner could take one child/ partner could book with other children ) but youre cabins may not be next to each other

Thanks for explaining fizzbomb, I get it now. Might just stick with me and hubby going and get some friends to enter. Would be a lot of travelling for the kids anyway as we're about 3 hours away from port.

I think youd have great fun either way . there is usually kids entertainment on board also a cinema which tends to show family films although cinema is the one thing you have to pay for, some of the ships also have a swimming pool. but it also makes for a fun all adults trip. lots of people in this area use the weekend trips for hen/stag parties but its much quieter through week
