Please help I have pip implants & having lots of problems with them. I have had problems right from the start they look odd in size in shape & The implant can be seen very clearly with rippling affect on my breast. I feel burning sensation all the time & started to feel unwell I don know if it is mind over matter but I m worried sick. I had a scan last year which was clear but that was just precaution when found I had pips but now I have this burning ect could something have changed over the past year? My problem is I don't have the money to replace them & my ex partner ruined my credit history so can't even do it on finance. I took my case to a solicitor with thousands of other woman but because I didn't pay on credit card I can't claim from that but thought I would be able to claim from the hospital or the surgeon but the surgeon Dr Aurakzia from Bodylooks has gone into liquidation so can not claim from his company. The frustrating thing is he is now trading as a surgeon from Bridgewater Hospital, how can Drs be allowed to do this. So basically I have been given pip implants that I paid good money for, I have proof & signed declaration that Dr Aurakzia performed the op & proof of cheque payment to him personally, but my solicitor said he's closing my case as he can not proceed & I have nothing to help me have these horrendous things removed from my body. I know I opted for surgery but I didn't do it on the NHS I paid money to make me feel & look better after childbirth left me with saggy horrid looking breast, I didn't expect to be in this position with potential life threatening implants in & the law says I'm not entitled to have them replaced I don't even want compensation like most people have had I just want them replaced or the money to afford to do this. Please please please can anybody help or advise what to do I'm at my wits end. Thank you.

Just a few thoughts.
A solicitor representing loads of cases will just 'cherry pick' the easily winable ones and drop the rest. Just because he is dropping you, doesn't mean you don't have a case. It's just your case is more coplex and might well take you more time (and money) to get through. I don't know, as I'm not a lawyer - but you might find someone else willing to represent you.
PIP implants had a CE mark and were approved. How was the surgeon to know they'd been manufactured incorrectly/fraudulently? Again, I'm no lawyer, but is the case against a surgeon acting in good faith really going to stick?
But - the manufacturer has also gone bust, and the regulator who approved them is Europe, or the British Government. So that's not going to be an easy case to win whatever.
Will the NHS not take them out if they are causing a problem?
OK - you WANT something put back in - but that is a fight for another day. If they are causing you a health problem, you NEED them taking out. You then have time to make your case, and raise the money. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

My sister in law had a similar issue.
She didn't go down the solicitor route and just went to her gp for advice and was referred.
The NHS removed her PIP implants, BUT wouldn't replace them for obvious reasons.
It was a case of get them out asap, and she took it.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
