AVIVA Endowment Policy Confusion

Hi looking for bit of advice.
I am not sure whether my policy is doing well here and whether I could do better. Any thoughts / opinions/ advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Summary:
25 year endowment policy with AVIVA
Target : 42,000
Maturity: 28/Nov/2019 ( @6yrs)
Pay: @67
Mortgage Endowment Promise: Short fall reduced by up to 4,800 ( will be given 3 years advance warning if they can’t do this. )
I have no dependants so the life insurance is nice but not vital.
Current Value: 22951 (last year around same time was@23,000 )
Surrender Value : 19837 (last year @17,000 )
Projection Summary:
5.6% /3.6%/1.6% was given at 24300 /27,000/30,000
( last year - 8% /6%. /4% was given as @33,900/30,100/26,700)
So Surrender Value has gone up considerably (@2500) but Current Value has not .
Also Projection Summary has gone down considerably (for example lower figure last year 4 now 1.6)
From this I am not even sure if my investment has done well this year only that the surrender value has definately got better.

Nothing to be concerned with there. That has nothing to do with actual returns. Just hypothetical. From this I am not even sure if my investment has done well this year only that the surrender value has definately got better.
Surrender value is the one to look at on with profits plans. The current value on conventional with profits has a lot of front loaded benefit (such as the basic sum assured to which bonuses are added to. That basic sum assured is there on day 1).
Remember that the MEP only gets added on maturity. It is not included in the surrender or current value.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for the reply.
I was concerned that the bonus from last year added to the Current Value was vey little and that for the projection summary AVIVA thought the much lower percentages were more realistic .0
