I don't think so - we have recently signed up to vote from this address and the council is fully aware that we live here, we have been paying council tax for a year now.

The forms that came from the electoral roll database didn't need any amendments, our names were already on there, I just signed it and posted it off.

    Cheers

I believe that new registers start in December, it is just possible that they're still on the old one.

the bailiffs may well turn up looking for previous occupant, but just be ready to prove you are not them.
At our old flat the previous tenants did a runner, we got lots of mail and I mean lots of mail for them.
I opened it and called some companys and that stopped some. Worse was the bailiffs turning up while just my sis was home babysitting DD. Sis opened to the door to the police ( who'd come in case of trouble) and almost had a heart attack as I was 7 mths pregnant with twins and she thought something had happened to me!!. She proved who she was, explained the situation, and the bailiffs returned when I was home so I could show my tenancy agreement, proving I was the tenant and the people they were chasing were no longer living there.

I know that proving your identity might be the easiest thing to do, to get them off your back. But. surely it should be up to them to prove that you are the person they are looking for. Not for you to have to prove that you are not the person they are looking for. Perhaps I am just feeling bloody minded.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Lovely to see our public servants spending their time engaging in private, civil disputes.

Far simpler to be co-operative. Seeing as you would them to go away.
