Just comparing mortgage rates online and seems that if I had to save
£17k for a 170k home chelsea building society 3.54 over 30 years so 90% monthly payments would be £691
Or
£8.5k deposit on same price house @ 3.69% £741 so rather than put the full 10% deposit down I just as well go for 95% mortgage and keep the extra in the bank for now??

Are you comparing like for like, i.e. product term?
Allowing for the cost of product fees?0 -
Both on 2 year fixed and one has a dearer product fee than the other by £500 but that doesn't really bother me0
