considering adult chat line. Advice please?

Hi, I'm seriously considering working as a chat line operator. It's difficult for me to get a regular day job at the mo due to partners hours of work and having children etc, but I don't just want to do nothing.
So doing something like this from home would be great. Or so I'm thinking :A
If anyone can give me advice or info, I would be so grateful.
How do I find these companies to begin with, and how do I know they are legit?
Do you get charged just by logging on?
How does it work???

Just bear in mind it might have a corrosive effect on your relationship - listening to onanists grunting all day. The working hours are also likely to cluster around the evenings when people who can afford chat lines (ie with jobs) are not at work, that is what's left of family time. Or after midnight, again, not conducive to a healthy relationship.

I would do it after the kids are in bed, and my partner works in the evenings, so it wouldn't interfere with any family time whatsoever :T

Yep, I'm ok with that. As for my relationship, listening to "dirty old men" isn't going to put any pressure on anything.

There use to be a long term thread here discussing this line of work but in the end it was closed (around 3 years ago i think) when the mods decided it was drifting from 'adult' jobs to prostitution... some of the main websites deal in both unfortunately.

But is your OH OK with it have you asked him? He maybe OK with it in principal but in practice it may end up ending your relationship.

You can make good money from webcam work and actual sex work, but the money you would make from phone calls is not going to beat out more traditional employment opportunities: less than minimum wage is fairly standard.

My partner understands that on my behalf it's all pretend so to speak, and we have spoken about it openly, and he is absolutely fine.
If I felt it was beginning to affect the relationship then I would reassess the situation.
