What to do with empty toner cartridges

Anyone got any ideas what I can do with a couple of empty toner cartridges.

I have 2 empty HP ones, and was going to donate them to charity, but its seems like they want at least 25 is one go. seeing as I've had my printer for a year and just used 2 I think that might be too long to wait before I have enough.

I'm not too keen on refilling them myself and it seems such a waste just throwing them away.

HP provide labels to return the FoC to a Recycling centre - mine were in the box of the new cartridge. I believe you can also print off labels from the HP.com website.

Yes you can print off a return label from the HP website.
Then just take to box to you local post office.
    No charge.

I'm not sure what you're concerns are, but I've been refilling toner cartridges from various printers for years. If you're worried about it being difficult, or messy, then I would give a try once and see how it goes. I expected it to be worse the first time, but it went fine and I've saved lots of money since then.

Hi Ben84, I've not tried refilling toner cartridges before, but have tried refilling inkjet ones which turned out to be rather messy. Also tried 3rd party inkjet cartridges, had not had very good experiences, so thats rather put me off. I had a look on you tube how to fill my toner cartridges and it involved using a soldering iron, so I have resigned myself to paying HP their hefty toner tax and buying originals. Lucky for me my usage is low and I'm still using of the original toners that came with the printer and its been telling me to replace them for about 10 months now.
