After years of spending more than our family earns, I have finally taken my head out of the sand and decided to get this sorted. I am well aware that this has been completely my fault, but I am here to get constructive help if possible.
I have completed the financial statement below, but even so I don't know how I am going to make the minimum payments for the upcoming months. I am not sleeping I am so worried about my debts, and I have severe depression (I am getting help for this, but attempted suicide last year).

Hopefully as you can see I have cut everything - no sky, no school dinners just budget packed lunch, and have switched to basics for all of my food. Next month I also have a £954 payment due on a catalogue, and if I don't pay it I will have interest added of £378 which will also take me over the account limit. I don't know where else to go from here, so please if anyone can give me some advice I would be so very grateful.

I've had a quick look and the first think that jumps out at me is £400 per month for a family holiday. That's almost £5,000 a year and you simply can't afford it!
Also, how many people is your budget for?

What really is killing you are the repayments.....over £1700 a month !!
That is like having something like having a 375k mortgage !
You don't pay rent or mortgage so presumably you own your own home. Get a secure loan on your home, repay all debts.

I new to all this myself so I can't give you much advice. Have you tried contacting one of the free debt companies? Stepchange, Payplan or Christians against poverty? They can give you free advice and with stepchange you can do it all online. I have severe depression too and I understand it's horrible dealing with this along with that. I am sure someone here will be able to give you some better advice than I can, everyone seems real friendly and supportive.

Do you need a home phone if you have a mobile phone?
Can you drop to a cheaper tariff on your mobile or use it less?
Do you need the benefits of your fee charging bank account?
Any cheaper methods of transport in your area? Looks like running your car is expensive.
You should consider cutting the Christmas and birthday budgets at least until you get yourself sorted.
If you have been keeping up the payments on your debts and your credit worthiness isn't too bad, have you considered trying to get a 0% credit card to move your existing credit card debt onto? That'll save you heaps each month in interest.What will your verse be?

I dropped my mobile contract to a lower one (£17 per month) but It doesn't run out until April when I will cancel it. My husband's is the problem one, it's £39 a month and he's tied in until July. I don't know of any way to get around that one.
I've contacted the bank and am dropping to a non-fee one but it won't go through until January.
Unfortunately as we live off camp in a separate housing estate, we need the car that we have (it was a wedding present) but as it is getting old it's needed a few things doing this year. My husband is on shift work and is the only one living in this area, so cannot car share or anything.
Thank you for the advice with the Christmas and Birthday's. Mine is in december so I won't be getting anything for that, my youngest's birthday is this month and I've just bought her a couple of cheap toys and second hand bits, and Christmas I'm just getting them one thing each so I think I overestimated for those two to try to cover the catalogue bills for November and December.0 -
Sorry Freya I just saw your post. I was not sure if that was the right way to go, because apart from the big catalogues I can just about make the minimum payments on everything so didn't want to go into a debt management plan unless necessary.0

Is this in addition to the monthly £630? Do you have any free space on other cards or overdraft that you could juggle some of it onto?
