Bit like my son the first time he got a bus back from secondary school - driver asked where he was going and he said home :o

I remember my kids going swimming near to where I worked, so we arranged for them to come to the office for a lift home.

I was getting worried as I have not been rang to say they were there.

When I went down they were there, the receptionist was crying with laughter. Apparently they had asked the receptionist for their 'mum' and non of them could remember my name! The age range was 11 -16! You could not write the things that they do. :D:D:D

Someone suggested to me that buying really cheap proper cutlery may be better value than buying decent plastic. Anyone know the best place to look?

on the subject of wombling....I was camping in Devon last year and the previous week had been awful weather wise...

I think someone had decided camping wasn't for them and dumped their whole kit!! the tent was ripped but I got

    a Vango tent carpet
    full set of vango poles
    vango wind break
    camp kettle

could have got more but already had a full car load of camping kit and I think the bin man had been in between me and the Mrs going back and forth to collect more!!

So now the elite womblers can go camping with the BBQ, salmon and "chicken fillets":D

What a day out that could be..... :T
Looks like we would also have plenty of cutlery, be able to push it there in a wheelbarrow, AND have a couple of wombled husbands for anything we can find useful for them to do as well. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Total food/grocery spend for 1-7th November standing at £3.61.

Helped this evening by a finest food tasting, savouries, dessert and chocolate :) so no dinner to cook tonight. Must say, very taken with the Gooseberry & champagne jelly, super on cheddar.....mmmmm definitely on the Christmas food list!

Went with Sunflower1227 , and we stocked up with rice too :) and she'd printed out a pepsi coupon for us each as well :) She'd spotted me wombling across the car park as she drove in!

A very good evening, recommend to all, if any further taste evenings are on offer :)

Hope one and all have had a good day, been long day for me, so night night.

Hi Midwinter  great evening :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

I got 2 sets in the viners sale, last year I think? It's excellent quality and well worth the money. I think I paid £30 ish for 2 sets (saw it on grabbit) and for the first time....ever, I think. We have matching cutlery :o

Ive hidden the teaspoons, DS2 has a tendency to throw them in the bin with his yogurt pots!
