Not had time to do a catch up at all.
Savvy - it's good that you're not totally pi..ed off at being asked to leave Morries. I do think you should have explained that you were trying to up Morries profits for them by telling numerous people about their low prices, especially their loss leaders, maybe leaving out the part though that you knew lots of savvy people who would purchase elsewhere in order to lower their competitors profits?
Heck they should be employing you, or at least paying you for your great service to them!
Took hubby for his cardiology appt this afternoon. Hmmmmmm
They wanted him in ASAP but finally agreed he can have a scan & then another appt early next month to decide if he needs another angio +stent. He let slip he's been having more heart bumps than he's told me about. OMG! I'm frightened enough to leave him alone as it is.
Last time he was down for this in 2010 he spent 2 x 2 weeks in hospital where I swear a few times he levitated off the bed due to chest pains. They sent him home twice then the cardiologist said NO WAY was he to go home but he had to stay in hospital until they could get him a bed in Univ Hosp of Wales. He was in the ward for a further SIX+ weeks before he was transferred, then another 10 days in Cardiff. All transfers were off when the ward got a nasty bug. Bloody crazy!
I was annoyed & made a strong complaint as the imbeciles took all the hand sterilisers off walls & beds & told people they had to wash their hands. OMG don't they have microbiologists checking this insanity? As for people washing their hands 90% of the general public have NO idea how to do this properly, turning the taps on with their hands and turning them off in the same filthy place with their 'clean?' hands. I just went spare as I watched the nurses washing their hands and they too were infecting themselves over & over. OMG! At least if they'd left the hand sterilisers in the wards they could have used those too and stood a better chance of not bringing in or taking out any nasty bacteria!
Needless to say we're both worried. He says he'll have it done IF and only IF they can take him in & do it a day or 2 later. Have no idea whether they'll agree to this?
Anyway bedtime for me. It's quiet so hopefully the nastiness has now gone.0 -

Hi everyone!
Got badly bitten by Snakes yesterday:mad:
Found a nest of 12 late morning, bought 7 in 6 shops, checking several times on here but no update to say if they were hissing or not. Obviously they came back as N/a so lost out by over £50 on APG's:(. My DD is getting married on New Years Eve and we are doing a free bar so needed some anyway and £9 for 12 bottles is bearable (plus the 6 cheap boxes I already have) for an alternative drink.
Luckily I noticed that the Mr M had stopped so managed to avoid those and I got a few more gift sets so not all bad. Also noticed the report on Napolina Pasta (Thanks OP) and got a few. Tried the rest of the 2 for£2 as well with the following results v M:-
2 x Napolina Fusilli (500g) £2.76 £2.98
6 x Napolina Penne Pasta (500g) £8.28 £4.14
4 x Napolina Egg Pasta Lasagne (375g) £5.52 £4.36
2 x Napolina Spaghetti (500g) £2.76 £2.98
So overall a fairly mixed shop, but I did manage over £8 in soggy wombles:T
Have a good day one and all,

I was trying to remember what it was before the cookies......3 boxes of beer for some silly price? It seems like they can't fix these glitches instantly
I think it depends on when they can push the updates out to the store computers (and SELS also having to be updated to reflect the correct price). Clearly, as we have seen with previous instore glitches, individual stores can respond by either removing stock off the shelves, or doing some sort of manual override on the computer instore to correct it, as most updates take place at certain points during the week.
Some stores are more on the ball than others - that is assuming that it is genuinely an error or if we are being manipulated with some clever marketing campaign to see how people respond to a supposed glitch with viral marketing. If you look at how often the 3 for 2 has "in error" been 3 for £2 recently then either Ts employ some very poor pricing/IT staff or some very clever marketing bods (or vice-versa!).

Personally ... assuming no other items on your receipt worth bothering about, I would be taking the snakes back (to different stores if possible) for a refund ... you have a month to return them so can space them out (obviously not returning all at once with different receipts - even I am not that brazen!). £9 for 12 is expensive compared to what it would be with the glitch ... and cheaper beer deals are out there if you weren't buying specifically for this glitch.
I know we have different views about taking the hit but personally I take back where a glitch hasn't worked in my favour without hesitation (for non-perishable goods - personally I never take back anything that they cannot then resell). I bought too many/OH says we have enough etc (always true ...!) but generally "can I return these please" without any explanation works just as well! A refund is promptly given with no grief, even where I have used an APG to pay for some of it.
The price on Ws changed a few times yesterday then settled back to 2 for £4.36 (1 is £2.18) according to later reports, so whatever 2 for £3 deal it was matching against seems to have ended (despite it never being on that deal - it is clearly matching against something in error and that error has rolled forward!). If you only entered one receipt, it may be worth trying the others as it seemed to change from NA to the new price even on shops done earlier/later but APG run later when you look at reports over the day.

I quite agree with you on the pasta. You can normally buy a kilo of pasta for under £1. Pasta is one of those items that frequently go on sale and 50p for 500gm is more often than not available in one of the big 4. Personally I don't find Napolina much better than a discount brand. TBH the 19p wholemeal ones I find better (even though they are now on or past date).
If you're paying 69p for 500gm I'd be more tempted to buy fresh, it's far nicer tasting and much more filling.
Maybe people are blinded by the discount (or not) offered. Maybe they don't realise the 'normal' price?
OMG my insomnia is back with a vengeance!0 -

I see the post a little way up this/the last page suggests that there is a 2 for £2 multi not showing on the APG which for Penne and Lasagna may be giving a better return?

In answer to one of my questions that I asked a while back, I managed to buy M&S vouchers in B00ts with One4all gift cards (not accepted in M&S and had a purchase to make in M&S, hence bothering!), so it is physically possible despite what I was told previously instore! I have a few more that I need to use (following the Viking deal earlier in the year).
Does anyone know if Arg0s will let you pay for gift cards with vouchers, as if yes I could then use up some of my Arg0s to buy B00ts, and B00ts to buy Paypal/online Visa. I have a few to use up (obtained from Maximiles).
I am just trying to come up with a way to get giftcards turned back into cash (without losing out) as I have quite a few and am feeling slightly exposed if any of them go out of business!
If we can find a way to cash out it could also be a useful way of maximising the Ts 150 CC points for £50 of giftcards (Ts giftcards excluded from the offer). There is a limit to how much you can find to spend online using an online Visa, and you haven't got a tax bill due.
Many thanks
