Just back from my local Mr T. Had an item come up higher than marked went to cs and was informed that on this occasion they would give DTD but as I had used scan and shop they do not give dtd as I can see the prices being scanned. Apparently according to this cs they will only give dtd if you go through a cashiered till!

Anyone else had this or have any thoughts?

Just another excuse incompetent Managers tell their staff to use to prevent themselves making loses.

I really don't like taking things back, and no, I have not used vouchers to pay for them.
What excuse would I give?! :o

I bought them for presents but on reflection I think chocolates would be more appropriate :)

It's not like its not something they can't just put back on the shelves so I can't see it being a problem

You don't really have to give an excuse, just ask them to do a refund. If they do comment, just say you've changed your mind/they aren't suitable/your sister doesn't like them etc - anything really will do. They have an unconditional 30 day refund policy so it will be fine.
