Thank you for your kind words and messages..life can be so cruel sometimes. I know death is apart of life but it doesn't make it any easier. I think when something like this happens so quick it is a bit surreal , I really feel for my friend as she hasn't had time to adjust to him being ill, it's so hard to be strong for someone when you see them hurting so much

Aww bless your friend it's always hard whether is quick or not. I personally feel having watched someone suffer for a long time from the effects of cancer, that quicker is definitely better. It's a truly terrible illness. Watching someone you love suffering for a long time is heart breaking

All you can do is be strong for your friend and be there for them and it sounds like you are already doing that. It's hard not to be touched when someone you care about is hurting. She's very lucky to have someone there that cares so much :A

Sending hugs your way and to your friend. I know how it feels, it happened to my friend's Dad too. He went on holiday and collapsed on the plane. Turned out he had cancer and died three weeks later. I didn't know what to say to her, I remember her Mum battling cancer for three years when she was a teenager. My Aunt's had it four times now over 20 years and she's in remission. Makes no sense at all.
