I thought there might be a glitch on MSM with the Dr O - they are not showing 2 for £4 as Asda site. However there's nothing REALLY good to compare against unless Morries has them on offer? Savvy?
Best offer - Sainsburys is 2 for £4.50 so with no multibuy showing on MSM 95p back on APG per 2 pizzas, use 2 £1 vouchers so cost for 2 is £1.05
Sorry no. They're not on a good offer in M for me to have any details - I think they are probably £2.78 each thought it might be 2 for £4.00 if lucky. (Don't think I saw an offer though.) Probably buy in 2s, which of course matches A's mbuy anyway:doh::D.
So...
Out of the four things to do, I've managed...
To get two-thirds of the way through the SP list.:(
And a fraction of a Tvs S.
Ah well - though it will doubtless change and be very quickly out of date, at least I can update the M list more comprehensively later in the week with newer prices for SP items on there.
There are a few changes - I haven't yet reached all the crisps and chocolate items, which is probably a good thing as they're only tempting you to spend more anyway - so here's a summary of some changes that I need to make:
I've decided SP Complete Dog Food 2kg will be (outside Northern Ireland) Avs M in case it glitches - M's version is much larger but same price per unit.
There's an error on the list on the Swing Bin Liners Flush Top 80. Should say £1.30 in A. Given a price increase now in T, it's onto buy in A, possible filler vs T as weight/size is too different.
Delete SP Washing Up Liquid 600ml. Put T Eday Value Washing up Liquid 500ml at 33p instead (possibly T vs A:eek: as A is outside the weight limit?).
SP Spaghetti - cross out and put Aldi Everyday Essentials Spaghetti 500g at 32p.
The SP Plain and/or Self Raising Flour - I've decided T's 3 for 2 is more slightly expensive than Avs M at 45p, but only with the 10% difference off M's price.
Instant Mash Potato is vs T.
Lasagne Sheets Avs T or M
Pasta Shapes vs T
Cross off SP Scotch Whisky. Avs T on 1 or other of William Grants 1L or Bells Original 1L scotch works out better per unit - vs T on offer till 5/11 (therefore treat as ending on 4/11).
Tea Bags - moved onto Tvs S, or buy in S straight (can be a BM filler in S of course) - all as long as S is still 27p.
Cross off the SP 1L juices - Sunpride Tropical Juice 1L in T at 50p (until 5/11) is cheaper. Can be Tvs A (with care!). Also Sunpride Mange Juice 1L in T at 50p (S BM vs T on that version).
Hot Chocolate and Coffee both vs M (not avail. to Northern Ireland).
Bolognese Sauce a filler on vs T, S or (not Northern Ireland) W.
SP Baked Beans is A vs S.
Sausage Casserole tin (390g) is Avs T.
Wouldn't buy Tuna Chunks. Tuna Flakes is vs W filler, or buy on non-APG shop separate in Northern Ireland (or anywhere).
Chopped Tomatoes/Peeled Plum Tomatoes - in 4s vs M.
Garden Peas - vs T or M.
Marrowfat vs T
Mushy vs T, S or M.
Red Kidney Beans are no longer Avs S, now Avs T.
Sliced Carrots in Water no longer best Avs T, now best Avs S (but only by a penny or so).
Mushrooms and Sweetcorn tin vs M (but wouldn't buy the latter).
Grapefruit in Syrup vs T.
I may as well be giving you the whole list!:D:rotfl:
Sweet Pickle is vs T or M.
Beetroot, Vinegar and Pickled Onions vs M
Wouldn't buy Black Pepper - was 18p in A in July
Brown Sauce - vs T or M.
Mint Sauce - in 2s vs M
Mayo 500ml vs T
Strawberry Jam vs T, S or M
Chocolate Hazelnut Spread vs M
The Pastes - Ham & Beef is now vs T at 30p. Therefore, the Salmon (vs T 32p) and the Chicken (vs T or M 32p) slightly more expensive.
Chicken Curry 392g - vs S.
Chunky Chicken in White Sauce is Avs T filler or Avs M filler (in the hope it maybe compares). Or buy T Eday Value separately vs anyone (A and M same price as T, S N/A) or buy M Savers in M.
Minced Beef & Onion tin 392g vs T as a filler.
SP Spaghetti - buy Aldi's version
SP Spag Loops - not sure I'd buy these at all now.
Other tins mentioned earlier on M posts.
SP Soups now vs T.
The Honey is going onto buying in T, S or M (all price matched so can go on comps in T as matched already or on BM comps in S as own brand)
Passata - price increase (slightly) so going .
SP Salad Cream - filler vs anyone.
Custard 385g - now vs M, remove vs S as 1p price increase there
Strawberry Whip - probably vs M
Fromage Frais A vs S
Adding vs M as an option onto the UHT milk and unsweetened soya.
SP Mixed eggs - moving to T Eday Value 15 eggs - £1.41 (buy separately)
Mixed Veg (1kg) Avs T
Breaded Chicken burger Avs T or M
Mince - vs T filler, S filler or W filler
Economy Burgers appear to have increased in price everywhere (not that 'economy' anymore) - was £1.00 now £1.15 (of course W doesn't stock but vs T or S at £1.15 even though price increase)
Broccoli 1kg is vs T or M.
Sweetcorn 1kg Avs M
On the Frozen Sausages - listen up! I've decided (although it's a risk) to go with T Eday Value 20 Sausages 1kg at £1.60. Should be vs A at the A SP Sausages 907g. It's within the 10% weight limit and T does not adjust prices for weight. So it should end up with 1kg of sausages for £1:T (A's price on the 907g ones) after PP. However, although msm has picked up A SP sausages as such, a.com - although it pictures them - has the description "Asda Sausages 20", so T PP may think they are a CBY pack and therefore return N/A. As M has increased in price some time ago it would not be Avs M anymore:( - nor would it be Avs T at £1.00 (A) vs £1.4512 (T) as loses out there. If Tvs A not working, it is safe to go, in any event, with A vs W on the 907g ones in A. Aldi's ones at 99p are smaller pack, so it's not a buy in Aldi.
Garlic Baguette (frozen) is Avs T or S as a filler.
SP Cauliflower 1kg is vs T or M.
Smartprice Chs & Tom pizza is vs T or M. (S is much smaller size, so works out worse.)
Mixed Fruit and Sultanas - buy in T on 3 for 2.
SP Kiwi Fruit - better to buy Aldi Fruit Fresh Kiwis (8) at 89p.
SP Seedless Green Grapes 500g have gone up in price from £1.00 to £1.25 making them no good any more, unless SEL still has £1.00 on it.
SP Peppers packs seem quite expensive to me, but Avs M if really really need it.
SP Carrots 2kg - can buy in A or M Savers 1kg at 59p (though they seem to be about three or four huge carrots).
Finally, SP Coleslaw is being removed. I've found the best price per unit is to be found on Sains Basics 500g Coleslaw (45p). Can of course fill a BM shop to tip it to £20 if needed.
Okay, I'd better go - I bet these prices quickly change, so check msm daily (though M prices will stay the same) - HTH and goodnight!!!:):):D:wave::wave:0 -
