We got a call in January from the owner begging us to take her as his landlord had said he couldn't have a dog. Luckily, I'd just found a permanent job, so we took her in. She's very naughty with me but my partner doesn't believe me as when he's here, she's well-behaved!

Evening all
Not read back yet but hope all are safe and wel.
Not too much damage here just one fence panel down.
Lawrie sorry don't know full name to pm but wondering if I can get an achcia order and save on 'transportation'. Sounds like you are the one to ask.
Feeling low as had slight disagreement with my sister today as she was hoping for half the place settings from my tesco meal for her son. Unfortunately this is the part of prize I am most plèased about so I said I would prefer to have them but offer ed to buy her son a plate set. Oh why did I not try to get a t one a while back!!
I feel this is generous of me as afterall I did win. But she is upset. I really think my offering to buy one for his new home is very nice of me. My own daughter doesnt own 4 matching of anything and she has been married 5 years.
The really daft thing is I know my sister was not pleased with dn moving in with g/f as she is high maintenance and pushed him into it. So why does she want to make life easy for them. They could afford to get a kitten and all the jabs so surely they could have got priorities right and bought the less fun house stuff first.
I am old fashioned I know but personally feel if you set up house before getting married you make do with what you can afford.
I remember being homeless after 2nd marriage crisis and after 7 years still happily use kettle I got from mums cellar. I had a quilt on the floor and my lappy for a few days and didn't have cooker for several months. I didn't even have a fridge for 2 months but survived.
I guess what I am saying is what is wrong with saving for what you need.
Sister could easily afford to buy everything they need anyway but quite rightly won't.
Ok moan over:mad:
Hopefully I rarely rant and stupid as it seems I really need the stuff. Ok I can't afford dining chairs for my new table yet but I will and when I do I look forward to having a good family roast as not cooked one in 7 years.
Anyone know where is best to by pandora. John Greed is best I can find at the moment as have 18th present to buy for niece/goddaughter.

Just one other thought - vouchers are not covered by Royal Mail, not even on the Special Delivery, as far as I know. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Thanks for taking the time to get in touch with us.

As for the Argos warehouse( haven't been for a few weeks) I've never known them to stock laptops at this one, if I happen to go over that way before Saturday I will pop in and have a look for you and if you ever fancy a coffee over that way then give us a shout

I agree with you vanilla twist, you won them so you should keep them.
If you have to buy a set for your nephew I would buy one of the cheapies from Wilkos
Some people are like that though, it was amazing who came out of the woods when I won a massive prize pack off the local radio some years back, suddenly acquired a whole new set of friends :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
