Substitute for vacuum cleaner fresheners

I apologise if this has been asked before. Does anyone have any good ideas for a vacuum cleaner freshener substitute, the sort you put in the bag?

    Hi billieboy,

What sort of vacuum have you got?

is it a bagged on or not?

if it's say a dyson, you can open the filter and put a few drops of essential oil on the actual spongy filter thingy (sorry not sure of the correct name for it :o, that's what i do.

if not then do the same thing, but put the oil on a piece of tissue paper and put that in the actual bag, should have the place smelling lovely in no time.

    HTH :)

I spray a few squibs of Mrs MATH'S EDP on a tissue and suck up the wand. The fragrance lasts for a week or so.

Interesting tip! Thanks. Unfortunately, I've got a Panasonic with bag, not bagless. Thanks anyway.

I usually soak a small piece of rag or kitchen towel with essential oil and suck it up into the bag :)
