When I worked in a lab that required night shifts, no one got paid extra/had their pay adjusted/got to leave early either night of the year. Absurd.0

Moot (friendly correction)
I do stand correct, google seems to show it is a lot more common for people not to be paid for it on the premise they make it up in March, seems odd to me.0 -
When I worked shifts I was paid for the number of hours worked e.g. 1 hr extra in Oct and 1 hr less in spring.0

I work shifts too. Don't get paid for it.
Whoever is on a 12 hour shift that day (like today) we split the shift with the guy on night shift and do 30 mnutes extra each.
It's no big deal, apart from some MSE'rs seem to think it is.0 -
Never been paid. Mainly because the shift is 8PM to 8AM NOT 12 hours. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
